WELCOME

FEBRUARY 22nd

2018

Our Founder, Our Pastor, Our Mentor and Friend, James Darrell Ratliff, passed on, from this vail of tears, to be with JESUS, Our Savior, at 09:24 Saturday, 30 Dec. 2017. We miss him, we love him and pray that his passing will cause some lost soul to come to the realization of their need of a SAVIOR.
I can hardly wait to see you again, in person
My BROTHER, I LOVE YOU

Sister Minnie Messer Fortner went home to be with the Lord Yesterday, the 21st of Feb. She was a mighty soldier for her savior, Our Lord Jesus Christ. Her old time christian values, her rock solid stand on the gospel of Jesus Christ and her unwavering faith in and her love for him, her smile and her testimony made her a formidable enemy of old smutty face. She will be sorely missed but her reward with Jesus in heaven has been long awaited and well won. God bless you Mom, I love you. Please tell Brother Darrell i love him too and i hope to see you all soon.

Bob Messer

TREASURES FROM GODS WORD

lf ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. (John 15:7)
Of necessity we must be in Christ to live unto Him, and we must abide in Him to be able to claim the largesse of this promise from Him. To abide in Jesus is never to quit Him for another love or another object, but to remain in living, loving, conscious, willing union with Him. The branch is not only ever near the stem but ever receiving life and fruitfulness from it. All true believers abide in Christ in a sense; but there is a higher meaning, and this we must know before we can gain unlimited power at the throne. "Ask what ye will" is for Enochs who walk with God, for Johns who lie in the Lord's bosom, for those whose union with Christ leads to constant communion.
The heart must remain in love, the mind must be rooted in faith, the hope must be cemented to the Word, the whole man must be joined unto the Lord, or else it would be dangerous to trust us with power in prayer. The carte blanche can only be given to one whose very life is, "Not I, but Christ liveth in me." O you who break your fellowship, what power you lose! If you would be mighty in your pleadings, the Lord Himself must abide in you, and you in Him.

DAILY PROMISE from GODS WORD

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: (1 Peter 2:9)
As Christians, we have the tremendous privilege to be called "God's own possession." Although we were once lost with no identity as a people, we have come to know the excellent mercies of God. He has brought us together as a holy nation, set apart for His glory. For we certainly have become property of the almighty King, that we may proclaim His goodness and righteousness to all people.

Stay in the fight.
Rest, if you have to, but don't quit.
May God Bless and Keep you
Bob Messer
Pastor

There is only one way to Heaven

Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me." (John 14:6) http://blb.sc/002Vj3

Good works cannot save you.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)  http://blb.sc/002UZQ

Trust Jesus Christ today! Here's what you must do:

  1. Confess to God that you are a sinner, in need of a savior.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" (Romans 3:23)   http://blb.sc/002T3j

"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Romans 5:12) http://blb.sc/002Uqg

"If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us."

 (1 John 1:10)  http://blb.sc/002NZl

2           Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried, and rose from the dead.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) http://blb.sc/002KIL

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners. Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) http://blb.sc/002Uqg

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9)  http://blb.sc/002O5E

Through prayer, invite Jesus into your life to become your personal Saviour.

"For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:10)  http://blb.sc/002O5E

3     Turn from sin and Repent

Jesus said: "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."

(Luke 13:5)  http://blb.sc/002q2Q

"And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:" (Acts 17:30) http://blb.sc/002SM0

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

 (Romans 10:13)   http://blb.sc/002O5E

"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" (John 1:12)  http://blb.sc/002NJc

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17)  http://blb.sc/002N2S

If you have received Jesus Christ as your Saviour, as a Christian you should:

  1. Read your Bible every day to get to know Christ better.

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2 Timothy 2:15)  http://blb.sc/002S3B

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." (Psalms 119:105)  http://blb.sc/002y1g

  1. Talk to God in prayer every day.

"And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

" (Matthew 21:22)  http://blb.sc/002bwg

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God." (Philippians 4:6)  http://blb.sc/002Vby

  1. Be baptized, worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church where Christ is preached and the Bible is the final authority.

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:" (Matthew 28:19)  http://blb.sc/002mxR

"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."
  (Hebrews 10:25)  http://blb.sc/002Pal

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" (2 Timothy 3:16)  http://blb.sc/002RWu

  1. Tell others about Christ.

"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." (Mark 16:15)  http://blb.sc/0036hZ

"For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!" (1 Corinthians 9:16)  http://blb.sc/002v2C

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." (Romans 1:16)  http://blb.sc/002StL
